StarCraft II Ship Date Confirmed (July 27, 2010)Activision Blizzard just sent over an announcement that finally... finally solidifies the actual release date of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty. The hot-n-tasty sci-fi RTS for the PC is expected to arrive in stores in the USA on July 27, 2010. The game will also arrive on that same day in Canada, Europe, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
"The solo campaign for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will continue the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War," the PR reads. Players will be able to tailor the experience, choosing their own mission path and selecting technology and research upgrades to suit their playing style throughout the 29-mission campaign. Several challenge-mode mini-games will also be included, with focused goals designed to ease players into the basics of multiplayer strategies."
The standard version will cost $59.99 USD when it arrives on store shelves. Blizzard is also releasing a Collector's Edition for $99.99 USD which will include an exclusive 2 GB USB flash drive, the official soundtrack, exclusive downloadable content, and more.
